Neighborhoods

Lower Greenville

Historically home to Dallas’s many jazz clubs and lounges, Lower Greenville grew up around the streetcar and the automobile. Today the neighborhood features some of the city’s most talked-about restaurants and bars, and the always-hopping stretch of the namesake street is a dense destination for relaxing nightlife or weekend brunch.

Rooftop libations and crafted eats await at the sparingly named HG SPLY Co., while Botolino will ensure you rarely go home without a scoop of something good. Rest among comfortable junk outdoors at Truck Yard, find local-pride tees and gifts at Bullzerk, or pick up enough cheese and mini shrimp toasts at Trader Joe’s to feed an assortment of neighbors (or just yourself). Up north amongst the M-Streets, catch local and national tunes at the Granada or dig through the racks at Buffalo Exchange. It’s easy to pop over to Tietze Park or Glencoe Park, too.

If you want to be close to the fun stuff, but also enjoy a more laid back atmosphere than Uptown and Oak Lawn offer, Lower Greenville is the neighborhood for you.
